Site description (2000 baseline)
A nutrient-rich, shallow bay of Lake Hjälmaren, surrounded by cattle-grazed wet meadows. The bay was, until recently, a landfill siterestoration was undertaken during 1992-1996 by the city of örebro authorities.
Key biodiversity
This is an important site for breeding wetland passerines and passage wildfowl and waders.
