Population justification: The species has not been observed in the wild and is only known from specimens. The population size has not been quantified.
Trend justification: The population trend has not been assessed directly. The species's preferred grassland habitats are thought to be under no imminent pressure due to their remote and inaccessible nature (Jaramillo 2020). Given it's presumably highly restricted range, the species may however be vulnerable to stochastic events.
