This species has a very large range, in which it can be common in the correct habitat and accordingly the population, while unquantified, is suspected to be large. The population trend is unknown but in the absence of significant threats is not believed to be declining at more than a slow or moderate rate, if it is declining at all. Consequently the species is evaluated as Least Concern.
