Site description (2009 baseline):

Located in south-west Hunan, bordering Guangxi in the south. The IBA is in the Nanling mountains.

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected plants include Cathaya argrophylla, Tsuga longlbracteata and Abies ziyuanensis.

Established as a provincial-level nature reserve (10,667 ha) in 1982.
