Site description (2009 baseline)
Located in the north-eastern part of Yunnan, with the Jingsha Jiang valley to the west and north. At 3,188 m, Jingzi Shan is the highest peak in the area, while the lowest point is at 350 m in the Jingsha Jiang valley.
Key biodiversity
Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected plants include Castanopsis platycantha and Tetracentron sinense.
