Site description (2000 baseline)
Large meadows with arable land in the Landgraben-Taube lowland area. The site also includes the Neolith pond and the Diebziger forest.
Key biodiversity
The site holds 20,000 or more waterbirds in winter, on a regular basis. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Crex crex (2-5 breeding pairs).
