Site description (2000 baseline)
A valley with grassland and small wetlands (ponds and reedbeds) along the Syre stream.
Key biodiversity
An important area for Ciconia ciconia with several birds summering in the area. Other species listed on Annex I of the EC Birds Directive and breeding at the site include Lanius collurio and Alcedo atthis. Species occurring on passage include Luscinia svecica, Philomachus pugnax and Tringa glareola.
