Site location and context
A section of coastline on the Cantabric Sea, with cliffs, estuaries and sand-dune systems. Human activities include agriculture and fisheries.



Key biodiversity
This is a nationally important site for breeding seabirds and passage and wintering ducks and waders.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are from disturbance from fishing and tourists.



Protected areas
National High International None5,758 ha of IBA covered by Natural Park (Oyambre, 5,758 ha).
