Site location and context
A small river valley with meadows and marshes. Habitat and land-use data are subjective estimates.
The site was designated as a Special Protection Area on the basis of breeding populations of five species listed on Annex I of the EC Birds Directive. With the possible exception of
Botaurus stellaris, these species no longer breed.

International High2,690 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Sønder ådal, 2,690 ha).
