Site description (2000 baseline)
A low-lying flood-plain of the Tisza, Szamos and Túr rivers, situated between Vásárosnamény and the border with Ukraine.

Key biodiversity
An important site for breeding waterbirds, raptors and forest birds. Breeding species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Aythya nyroca (10-15 pairs).
