Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
The site is covered by large expanses of forest, mainly coniferous and dominated by pine Pinus and fir Abies. There are many fish-ponds, mainly in the area of Ruda Ró¿aniecka village, and wet areas of Pinus forest with bilberry Vaccinium and small reed-grass Calamagrostis.



Key biodiversity
Breeding species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Haliaeetus albicilla (one pair).



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Fish-farming involves the cutting of grass and sedge during the breeding season, which disturbs nesting birds.



Protected areas
National High International None28,980 ha of IBA covered by Landscape Park (Puszcza Solska, 28,980 ha).
