Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
A stretch of the Rhine river valley comprising riverine forest, dry, over-utilized riparian forest,
Salix scrub, rough meadows, rapids, gravel-banks, springs, gravel-pits, arable land and the slopes of the foothills.
Breeding species include
Pernis apivorus and
Alcedo atthis. The site is nationally important for wintering wildfowl.
National Partial
International LowIBA overlaps with Landscape Protected Area and Nature Reserve. IBA overlaps with Special Protection Area.
