Site location and context
The site contains garrigue, cultivated areas, dry meadows, Mediterranean woodlands, cliffs, a river and a reservoir.
The site is important for breeding raptors,
Tetrax tetrax, and species associated with Mediterranean habitats. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria:
Falco naumanni (irregularly breeds).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The construction of a new railway and railway station within the site
are the main threats.

International Low285 ha of IBA covered by Private Reserve (La Barben, 285 ha). 285 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Plateau de L'Arbois: la Barben, 285 ha).
