Site description (2000 baseline)
A mountainous area with deciduous and conifer forests, large areas of heathlands, scree and rocky slopes and alpine meadows.
Key biodiversity
This is an important site for species associated with open upland habitats and forest, particularly breeding raptors. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Tetrax tetrax (1-10 breeding pairs).
