Site description (2000 baseline):

Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Crex crex (5 breeding pairs).

A management plan exists for the Biosphere Reserve.

National Partial International HighIBA overlaps with Nature Reserve. 3,850 ha of IBA covered by Biosphere Reserve (Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve, 43,000 ha). IBA overlaps with Special Protection Area.
