Site location and context
Topography of this area is dominated by lower slopes which are covered by good forest.



Key biodiversity
There are two important birds, Flores Crow Corvus florensis and Flores Green Pigeon Treron floris. Around 8 birds of Flores Green Pigeon were recorded. Wallace's Scopsowl Otus silvicola common in Banana garden (Drivjers personal communication., Trainor & Lesmana 2000). The only new record in Flores of Rose-crowned Fruit-dove Ptilinopus regina made in this area.



Habitat and land use
Tropical dry deciduous forest, beach forest and mangrove (Trainor & Lesmana 2000).



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Timber cutting for commercial (small scale) and hunting activity (Trainor & Lesmana 2000).
