Site description (2000 baseline)
Marshes and wet meadows, reedbeds (Phragmites), ponds and arable fields.

Key biodiversity
This is an important site for breeding and wintering waterbirds. It is also the best site for Chlidonias niger in France. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Haliaeetus albicilla (passage); Aquila clanga (passage); Crex crex (passage); Gallinago media (passage); Acrocephalus paludicola (passage).
