Site location and context
The site is dominated by
Pinus forest with small areas of
Fagus forest. The substrate is sand and there are large areas of dunes and open sand.
This is an important area for woodpeckers with six species occurring.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
`Other' threats include air pollution and intensive military use of the site.
