Site description (2000 baseline)
An irrigation pond on the River Ebro close to Logroño, with surrounding marshy vegetation (Typha, Phragmites) and small patches of Tamarix scrub. The surrounding areas are used for vine and cereal cultivation and there is an industrial zone.

Key biodiversity
The site is particularly important for breeding herons.
