Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
Part of Lake Constance with reedbeds (
Phragmites) and extensive areas of mud. Inland are tracts of riverine forest (mainly
Salix), dry forest (
Pinus and
Fagus), ravine and hill-slope mixed forest, lightly improved hay-meadows, calcareous dry grassland, orchards, springs and cliffs.
This is an important stop-over site for passage species of wildfowl.
National High
International PartialIBA overlaps with Landscape Protected Area and Nature Reserve. IBA overlaps with Special Protection Area.
