Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
A shallow lake (up to 17 m deep) surrounded by mixed forest,
Alnus forest and agricultural land. It is normally ice-covered in winter.
A wide range of waterbirds stage here on passage.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Disturbance to birds occurs, especially in early spring when areas of open water are small and the local people push boats over the ice to these areas and set fishing nets.
