Site description (2007 baseline):
Site location and context
The area comprises extensive intertidal zones, bays and stretches of rocky shoreline. Exposed lengths of rocky shore and sheltered areas of sand and silt support a characteristic flora and fauna, including important invertebrate communities. The IBA is important for wintering waders and geese.
