Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
A dyked lagoon with reedbeds, surrounded by conifer plantations, mixed deciduous scrub, grazed meadows and fields.
This small area also holds high densities of staging ducks.
Circus aeruginosus, listed on Annex I of the EC Birds Directive, breeds at the site.
National Partial
International High240 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Hovvig, 240 ha).
