Site description (1994 baseline):
Site location and context
A small lake surrounded by cultivated plains, c.35 km south-south-east of Jahrom, in an intermontane basin at c.900 m in the southern Zagros Mountains. No information is available on the habitats, etc. Land ownership is public.
See box for key species. An important wintering area for
Tadorna ferruginea,
Oxyura leucocephala and
Grus grus.
Non-bird biodiversity: None known to BirdLife International.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
No conservation measures are known to have been proposed and there is no information on threats to the site.
