Site description (1994 baseline)
A small lake surrounded by cultivated plains, c.35 km south-south-east of Jahrom, in an intermontane basin at c.900 m in the southern Zagros Mountains. No information is available on the habitats, etc. Land ownership is public.
Key biodiversity
See box for key species. An important wintering area for Tadorna ferruginea, Oxyura leucocephala and Grus grus.
