Site location and context
Old conifer and deciduous forests with streams, scree, cliffs and alpine grasslands.



Key biodiversity
The most important area in Corsica for the endemic Sitta whiteheadi.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Frequent non-natural fires during the summer months are the most significant threat.



Protected areas
National Low International Partial15 ha of IBA covered by Biological State Reserve (Tavignano, 15 ha). 6,500 ha of IBA covered by Biosphere Reserve (Réserve de la Biosphère du Fango, 6,500 ha).
