Site description (2009 baseline)
Located in Damaoqi, northern Baotou City, with the Mongolian border to the north. The IBA comprises 85% desertified grassland.
Key biodiversity
Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected animals include Procapra gutturosa, Canis lupus and Vulpes vulpes.
