Site location and context
A lower montane area with broadleaved forests (
Quercus and
Fagus) and heathland.
The site is a migratory bottleneck, where more than 3,000 cranes and 3,000 raptors regularly pass (including
Pernis apivorus 2,500;
Milvus milvus 3,500;
Grus grus 15,000).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The high hunting pressure on all migratory birds is the main threat.
