Site description (2003 baseline)
Located on the Schwaner mountains between West Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.
Key biodiversity
Rice (1989) found the extention of elevation range distribution of Black-breasted Fruit-hunter Chlamydochaera jefferyi up to 1100 m asl. The information about birds in Schwaner Mountains is very limited and follow-up survey is needed.
Non-bird biodiversity: Pongo pygmeus, Presbytis rubicunda, Helarctos malayanus, Neofelis nebulosa (MacKinnon et.al 1996)
