Site description (2000 baseline)
This site comprises a reservoir surrounded by dehesa, non-irrigated arable land and grassland. There is a wooded island in the reservoir. The main human activities are livestock-grazing and hunting.
Key biodiversity
The site is important for post-breeding Ciconia nigra, breeding herons and wintering Grus grus.
