Site description (2000 baseline)
An upland area to the south-east of Gallocanta lake, covered by scrub, small areas of cereal cultivation and small patches of Pinus woodland.

Key biodiversity
This is an important area for steppic birds, particularly Chersophilus duponti. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Tetrax tetrax (resident).
