Site description (2000 baseline):

Plots of natural steppe with man-made ponds, bordered by cultivated land.

An important site for birds of the steppe biome.

There are no serious threats.

National High International High33,307 ha of IBA covered by Biosphere Reserve (Askania-Nova, 33,307 ha).
