Population justification: Partners in Flight (2019) estimate the population to number fewer than 50,000 mature individuals, thus it is placed in the band 20,000-49,999 mature individuals here.
Trend justification: The population trend is difficult to determine because of uncertainty over the species's ecological requirements. Forest loss within the species's range is currently estimated at ~0.5% across three generations (Tracewski et al. 2016) however due to uncertainties regarding both the species's range and ecological requirements, the impact of habitat change on the species remains unclear.
