Population justification: The global population size has not been quantified, but the species is reported to be local and uncommon throughout its range (del Hoyo et al. 2002), while the population in Korea has been estimated at < c.100 breeding pairs (Brazil 2009).
Trend justification: The population is suspected to be in decline owing to ongoing habitat destruction (del Hoyo et al. 2002).
