Population justification: The total population is suspected to number 50,000-500,000 mature individuals (Partners in Flight 2019; see also Panjabi et al. 2019).
Trend justification: The species is suspected to be have undergone a moderate to large population decrease since 1970 (Partners in Flight 2019; see also Panjabi et al. 2019), because its limited range and reliance upon tropical deciduous forests make it vulnerable to any habitat degradation or destruction (del Hoyo et al. 1994).
