Population justification: The global population size is unknown given recent taxonomic splits.
Trend justification: The population trend has not been investigated. Tree cover loss within the range is low (4% over three generations; Global Forest Watch 2021, using Hansen et al. [2013] data and methods disclosed therein). Apart from forests, the species also occurs in secondary habitat, plantations, edge and clearings (Schulenberg et al. 2020); hence, low levels of tree cover loss may not be impacting the species. The population is tentatively assessed as stable.
