Taxonomic note
Ornelas et al. (2014) found Juliamyia nested within Amazilia hence the species is moved to that genus as A. julie (Handbook of the Birds of the World and BirdLife International 2020).
Juliamyia julie (del Hoyo and Collar 2014) was previously placed in the genus Damophila.
