Taxonomic note

Cinnyris coccinigastrus (del Hoyo and Collar 2016) was previously placed in the genus Nectarinia and listed as N. coccinigaster following Dowsett & Forbes-Watson (1993); Sibley & Monroe (1990, 1993).
