Justification of Red List category
This species is only known to occur on a single island, where its population appears to be small or very small and is inferred to be undergoing continuing declines as its forest habitat is logged and degraded for subsistence gardens. It has therefore been classified as Vulnerable.

Population size: 2500-9999 mature individuals

Population trend: decreasing

Extent of occurrence (breeding/resident): 6,000 km2

Country endemic: yes
