Population justification: The global population is suspected to number 5,000,000-49,999,999 mature individuals (Partners in Flight 2022).

Trend justification: The species occurs in a variety of open and woodland habitats and appears tolerant of converted and disturbed areas (Hosner et al. 2020). Therefore, in the absence of evidence for any declines or substantial threats, the population is suspected to be stable.
