Taxonomic note

Cinnyris afer, C. stuhlmanni, C. prigoginei and C. ludovicensis (del Hoyo and Collar 2016) were previously placed in the genus Nectarinia and lumped as N. afra following Dowsett & Forbes-Watson (1993).
