Population justification: The global population size has not been quantified, but this species may be relatively common within this range. Many areas of suitable habitat within the area have not bee surveyed, and the range and population may be larger than currently thought (H. Lloyd in litt. 2007).
Trend justification: This population is suspected to be in decline owing to ongoing habitat destruction (del Hoyo et al. 2003).
