Justification of Red List category
This species is listed as Near Threatened because it has a small range and occupies a habitat type that is fragmented and becoming more so as habitat is destroyed. Its EOO is sufficiently large to not meet the threshold for Vulnerable under criterion B, but any reduction in range as a result of habitat loss may lead to this species being uplisted in the future.
