Taxonomic note
Colaptes rubiginosus and C. aeruginosus (del Hoyo and Collar 2014) were previously lumped as C. rubiginosus following SACC (2007), which prior to that was placed in the genus Piculus following Sibley and Monroe (1990, 1993).
