Population justification: The Brazilian Red List (MMA 2014) estimated the total population to be under 10,000 mature individuals, with <1,000 mature individuals in each subpopulation. The population is therefore placed in the band 2,500-9,999 mature individuals.

Trend justification: The population is inferred to be declining due to loss of habitat quality (MMA 2014).
