Current view: Data table and detailed info
Taxonomic note
Spatula rhynchotis (del Hoyo and Collar 2014) was previously placed in the genus Anas. Apparently closest to S. clypeata. New Zealand population often treated as a separate subspecies, variegata, but differences from Australian and Tasmanian birds are trivial. Monotypic.
