Site location and context

A heathland area with peatbogs, small wetlands and moorland lakes on old dunes.

Key biodiversity

Several other species listed on Annex I of the EC Birds Directive also breed at the site, including Grus grus and Pluvialis apricaria.

Protected areas

National Partial International High1,430 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (ållvand Klithede and Førby Sø, 1,430 ha).
