Site description (2009 baseline):

Located on the border between Lufeng County and Chuxiong City, in Chuxiong Prefecture. The main habitat type is Yunnan pine, but it is mixed with evergreen broadleaf forest, scrub and riverine wetlands. Forest cover is c.97.7%.

Non-bird biodiversity: No information.

Formerly a prefecture-level forest farm, established as a prefecture-level nature reserve (3,631 ha) in 1982.
