Two large and predominantly raised bogs surrounded by coniferous and deciduous forests near the border with Russia. Listed as an IBA since 1994 [5, 6, 1]. High protection level: there is a 87.7% overlap with two restricted nature reserves and candidate SPAs, Klesniku bog and Gulbju and Platpirovas bogs
