Site description (2009 baseline):

Site location and context
The main habitats are grassland and wetlands. The IBA is a migration bottleneck where up to one million birds of about 100 species pass through annually between September and November. The total number of herons (Ardeola bacchus, Nycticorax nycticorax etc) is estimated to be more than 20,000 birds.
